 Trim Levels
With four trim levels to choose from, the 2017 Tucson offers you various options. Select among the SE, Eco, Sport, and Limited. All trim levels offer the same exterior dimensions. The car has a wheelbase of 105.1 inches, a length of 176.2 inches, a width of 72.8 inches, and a height without a room rack of 64.8 inches.
If you're planning for considerable travel, it's important to have the features that make traveling a little easier. Roof rack side rails allow you to bring along more luggage. This is an optional feature on the SE trim, but it comes standard on all other trims. The hands-free smart liftgate is only available on the Sport and Limited trims, and it allows for an easier time in getting cargo into the vehicle.
Some standard exterior features on all trim levels of the Tucson include a LED center, high-mount stoplight; a rear spoiler; and solar control glass. While you'll find dual foldaway, heated power side mirrors on all trim levels, select models include integrated turn signal indicators in the mirrors.
Engine
The 2017 Hyundai Tucson offers two engine options. The SE comes standard with a 2.0-liter, DOHC 16-valve, I4 engine that features 164 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. All other trims offer a 1.6-liter, DOHC 16-valve, turbocharged I4 engine, which gets 175 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
This crossover features front-wheel drive as the standard drivetrain; however, you can also choose the optional all-wheel drive. The SE trim comes with a six-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC. If you choose the Eco, Sport, or Limited trim, you'll get a seven-speed EcoShift, dual clutch transmission.
Interior
With space for everyone, the Tucson is roomy and comfortable. With the rear seats up, you'll have 31 cubic feet of cargo space, giving you enough space for all your gear. Comfort features in the car include rear reclining seatbacks, YES essentials cloth seating surfaces, and steering wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls. There are also numerous optional features such as heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and an eight-way, power adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support. Stay entertained with the audio system featuring six speakers and a 5- or 8-inch color touch-screen system.
Safety Features
Staying safe on the road is a top priority. Standard safety equipment on all trim levels of the Tucson include electronic stability control, advanced air bags, front and rear crumple zones, and electronic brake-force distribution. All models also come with a rearview camera. Optional safety features available on select trims include blind-spot detection, lane change assist, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and rear parking sensors. The remote keyless entry system with alarm helps keep you safe and gives you peace of mind when you're getting in or out of the vehicle.
