Trim Levels

The 2017 Santa Fe Sport comes in three trim levels. You can choose between the Sport, the Sport 2.0T, and the Sport 2.0T Ultimate.

Looking at the exterior of the Santa Fe Sport, you'll notice the trim levels look very similar, as they have many of the same features across all trims. Some of these include body color, dual power, manual-folding side mirrors; a body-color rear spoiler with a LED center, high-mount stoplight; and projector headlights with LED accents.

However, there are also several optional features. For example, the premium exterior lower door trim is only available on the Sport 2.0T Ultimate. Roof side rails are standard on the Sport 2.0T and the Sport 2.0T Ultimate, but they are only optional on the Sport.

Engine

Choose between two engine types in the Santa Fe Sport. The Sport trim has a 2.4-liter, DOHC 16-valve, I4 engine, which gets 185 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. If you choose the Sport 2.0T or the Sport 2.0T Ultimate, you'll get a 2.0-liter, DOHC 16-valve, I4 turbo engine featuring 240 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.

Performance

The Santa Fe Sport comes standard with front-wheel drive on all trim levels. You can choose the optional all-wheel drive on each trim level. You'll also get a six-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC to help improve the vehicle's performance. The Sport trim has a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds while the other trim levels get up to a 3,500-pound towing capacity.

Interior

Inside the car, you'll find room for everyone and all your gear. The front seats offer 39.6 inches of headroom, 41.3 inches of legroom, 59.4 inches of shoulder room, and 56.7 inches of hip room. In the second row, you'll get 39.1 inches of headroom, 39.4 inches of legroom, 58.3 inches of shoulder room, and 55.4 inches of hip room. On top of that, you'll get 35.4 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row or 71.5 cubic feet behind the first row.

Interior features provide various options, including optional heated front seats, an integrated memory system for the driver's seat and mirrors, and a heated steering wheel. Standard interior features include Bluetooth wireless technology, a robust audio system, and a USB port to keep your devices connected.

Safety Features

The 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport offers numerous standard safety features on all trim levels, including a rearview camera, traction control system, advanced air bags, and second-row LATCH system for child safety seats. There are several optional safety features available, including rear parking sensors, a multiview camera, smart cruise control, and lane change assist. In addition, the SUV was created with front and rear crumple zones to help keep you safe in the event of an accident.
